When I have two 11 month olds playing VERY quietly on their own, one would say it's cause for celebration. Not this mom. This mom thinks to herself, 'what on earth are they doing that they shouldn't be!?'.
Evi had her back to me. Sitting quietly with the purple $2 nerf football her daddy bought at Target 'it's only $2!' he says (never take this man to Target unless absolutely necessary!!).
I walk over to her and there she was....

making a mid-morning snack out of purple polyurethane.
I had to extract said mid-morning snack from her squirrel-like cheeks. She gagged throughout the entire process. As I surveyed the 6 pieces in my hand, I felt confident I had it all.
Wyatt...still sitting quietly over by the pantry (where we have a colander, spatulas and whisks within reach for the kids to explore) was a tad toooooo quiet, if you know what I mean.
I walked over and discovered this.....
black plastic fragments surrounding his cute little mouth, black spatula in his right hand. I surveyed the spatula and realized it was losing its battle with this 7 tooth gnawing artist. Checking the cheeks on this fellow is no easy task as he DOES NOT like his face to be touched.
Evi in tow, sobbing because her purple football daddy bought for them has officially been placed on the bench and Wyatt sobbing because I took one of the spatula's right when he was making progress...
... it made an interesting morning to say the least.
